Mark is from England and is passionate about nature and conservation. After graduating with a degree in environmental science, he worked as a forester for conservation organizations. This involved training staff and creating management plans for nature reserves.
At the turn of the millennium, he moved to Prague, where he began teaching English with a focus on natural sciences and the environment. Over the past 20 years, he has taught English at Charles University and the Czech University of Life Sciences, and has also led environmental English courses for professionals across Europe. Mark regularly translates and revises environmental materials for government institutions. He is the co-author of a book on trees and also writes articles for scientific journals.
